This has to be one of the best FREE interactive quiz sites out there. There are no student accounts, so no usernames or passwords. 

POSITIVES (+)
  • Once a teacher has signed up (go to: getkahoot.com/)  themselves they can create their own quizzes or search through thousands that are available at the site. Simply type in your area of focus: fractions and decimals for Year 5, French phrases, capital cities, AFL, football, politics, history, Hatchet, Roald Dahl, Superfudge and more. 
  • The quizzes available can relate to strands within English, strands within Maths, popular novels and authors, geography, history, current events, philosophy, art and more...
  • Student engagement!
  • Any device can be used. Students just type in the URL: kahoot.it. Then they type in the game number which is provided by the teacher. 
  • Opportunities for whole group or class discussion when results come through - looking at areas of strength or weakness.
  • Use as a warm up or cool down activity. 

NEGATIVES (-)
  • Students may rush tasks and not think about answers
  • Not the best tool to assess individual student knowledge and ability
