Search Engines - useful information

The video below is an explanation of how to use the advanced searching function on Google. The advanced searching option allows you to refine your results. For example, you can click on the option and only view website from Australia or only view websites that end in .org or .edu.

You can probably tell - this video was made when I was still working in New Zealand. Hopefully you find it useful.

Go Gooligans seems a bit clunky, but it's worth checking out. It has been designed for teens and kids.

Safe searching for kids. This search engine has been created by kids for kids and is powered by Google.

Kidz Search is another great search engine. It has lots of kid safe learning links, videos, resources and more.
